Chemnitz Hut
First opened as the Nevesjoch Hut in August 1880. In only three weeks, the DuÖAV/section of Taufers built this small accommodation. In the valley, the hut is known as 'Heang Hitte' (lit: hut of the Lords). This is an important hint that the Alpine discovery of mountains was mainly carried out by the 'Lords'. The Nevesjoch Hut is situated near the Neves saddleback, the transition between the Lappach and the Weissenbach Valleys.
